Jasper Jessie James was born on August 20th, 1901 in Floydata, Floyd Co., Texas.1 Jasper Jessie James' father was Harry Edward Proctor and his mother was Frances Isobel Manning. His maternal grandparents were James Duncan Manning and Martha Jane Graham. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Eddie Elbert, Forest Franklin, Asa Averil, Lemar Lumia, Ida Irene, Lettie Lovey, Delphia Dean, Maude Myrtle and Beulah Rebecca. He was the third youngest of the ten children. He died at the age of 74 on January 24th, 1976 in Strawn, Palo Pinto Co., Texas.1 General Notes
