Martha Jane was born on February 11th, 1839 in Princeton, Jackson Co., Alabama.1 Martha Jane's father was Jesse Abner,Rev. Graham and her mother was Martha Jane Fannin. Her paternal grandparents were John Graham and Mary Emmaline Pennington. She had nine brothers and three sisters, named Isaac Jackson, Curtis Beason, John Curtis, Ozias Denton,Dr., William Franklin Smith, Jesse Abner,Jr., Benjamin Franklin, James Monroe, Michael, Sarah Ememline, Hulda Ann and Mary Ellen. She was the sixth oldest of the thirteen children. She died at the age of 84 on July 29th, 1923 in Coryell Co., Texas. She was buried in Restland Cemetery, Gatesville, Coryell Co., Texas.1 1 General Notes
