Her paternal grandparents were John Graham and Mary Emmaline Pennington. She had nine brothers and three sisters, named Isaac Jackson, Curtis Beason, John Curtis, Ozias Denton,Dr., William Franklin Smith, Jesse Abner,Jr., Benjamin Franklin, James Monroe, Michael, Martha Jane, Hulda Ann and Mary Ellen. She was the oldest of the thirteen children. She died at the age of 80 on March 31st, 1908 in Copperas Cove, Coryell Co., Texas.1 General Notes
