Newton Prestridge 
Newton was born on February 13th, 1895 in Alvarado, Johnson Co., Texas.1 Newton's father was James Ezell Prestridge and his mother was Nancy Catherine Davis. His paternal grandparents were Joseph Benjamin Prestridge and Sarah Almeida Fenley. He had five brothers and five sisters, named Habib, Paul, Walter David, Edgar Lloyd, Delmar Commodore, Naomi, Sadie, Helen, Zelma and Esther Blanche. He was the second oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 77 on December 29th, 1972.1 -
