Delmar Commodore was born on February 8th, 1907 in Alvarado, Johnson Co., Texas.1 Delmar Commodore's father was James Ezell Prestridge and his mother was Nancy Catherine Davis. His paternal grandparents were Joseph Benjamin Prestridge and Sarah Almeida Fenley. He had five brothers and five sisters, named Habib, Newton, Paul, Walter David, Edgar Lloyd, Naomi, Sadie, Helen, Zelma and Esther Blanche. He is the second youngest of the eleven children.-
