William Hamilton was born in 1858.1 William Hamilton's father was Daniel Jenkins McQueen and his mother was Elizabeth Caroline Skipper. His paternal grandfather was William J. McQueen and his paternal grandmother is Susannah Graham. He had three brothers and four sisters, named James Robinson, John W., Yancy Price, Orilla V., Laura F., Emma Caroline and Julia R..
