Alexander McNutt 
Alexander was born on December 10th, 1754 in VA.1 Alexander's father was John Alexander McNutt and his mother is Catherine Rebecca Anderson. His paternal grandfather was Alexander McNutt and his paternal grandmother is Jane Welch; his maternal grandfather was Robert Anderson and his maternal grandmother is Catherine Graham. He had seven brothers and two sisters, named Joseph, Benjamin, Robert, John, Joseph, Isaac, William, Rebecca Anderson and Margaret. He was the second oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 57 on March 29th, 1812 in VA.1 General Notes

Alexander, born Dec. 10, 1754. He was a Revolutionary War soldier, ha
vi ng served at Cowpens. He was a planter, slaveholder, and Presbyter
ia n. He owned extensive property on North River, seven miles east of Lexi
ngt on and which he and his family lived and where his widow resided aft
er h is death. His farm was on North River, 7 miles east of Lexington. A p
orti on of it had been granted by the Commonwealth to his father in 1798 (
abo ut a mile west from Buena Vista). He died of pneumonia on March 29, 18
12 a nd is buried at the Failing Springs Presbyterian Church graveyar
d. (I s aw his grave in September [1998], and it is marked with a Revoluti
