Maggie Bell was born on March 9th, 1875 in Sonora, Sutton Co., Texas.1 Maggie Bell's father was James Kenneth Ledford and her mother was Darnellie Juliar Basham. Her paternal grandfather was Samuel B. Ledford and her paternal grandmother is Rachel Curtis; her maternal grandparents were John Marion Basham and Margaret Elizabeth Hinds. She had three brothers and a sister, named Marion Edward, Ghumie, James Edgar and Rachel E.. She was the second oldest of the five children. She died at the age of 82 on December 18th, 1957 in Snyder, Scurry Co., Texas.1 General Notes
