William Samples Keahey 
William Samples was born in 1786 in North Carolina.1 William Samples' father was John Keahey and his mother was Martha Jackson. His paternal grandparents were William MacKeahey and Margaret Unknown; his maternal grandparents were Samuel Jackson and Christian Unknown. He had four brothers and three sisters, named John,Jr., William,General, George Jackson, James S., Christian, Mary and Margaret. He died at the age of 98 on August 29th, 1884 in Jasper, Texas.1 General Notes
