Mary was born on May 14th, 1787 in Richmond Co., North Carolina.1 Mary's father was John Keahey and her mother was Martha Jackson. Her paternal grandparents were William MacKeahey and Margaret Unknown; her maternal grandparents were Samuel Jackson and Christian Unknown. She had five brothers and two sisters, named John,Jr., William Samples, William,General, George Jackson, James S., Christian and Margaret. She died at the age of 35 on August 26th, 1822 in Waynesboro, Mississippi.1 General Notes
