Emaline was born on December 5th, 1841 in Wayne Co., Mississippi.1 Emaline's father was William,General Keahey and her mother was Jane Clark. Her paternal grandparents were John Keahey and Martha Jackson. She had two brothers and eight sisters, named James, William L.,Jr., Mary Ann, Martha Smiley, Margret, Sarah M., Christian, Cathron Catherine, Myra and Jane.
