REFN: 26 [lillief.ged] MCNUTT CREEK. McNutt Creek rises in the North and South Forks of McNu tt Cr eek two miles east of Round Rock in southern Williamson County (at 3 0°3 5' N, 97°40' W) and runs southeast for seven miles to its mouth on Br us hy Creek, four miles east of Round Rock (at 30°32' N, 97°36' W). It w as pr obably named for Robert McNutt, the original grantee of the land thr ough w hich it flows. The gently sloping terrain is surfaced by clayey soi ls us ed predominantly for agricultural purposes; its banks are heavily wo od ed in places with oak and mesquite trees.
