George Hammonds 
George was born on October 18th, 1882.1 George's father was John Henry Hamman and his mother was Lenora Alethea Gause. His paternal grandparents are Phillip H., Jr. Hamman and Mary Ann Allen; his maternal grandparents were Emory Purefoy Gause and Caroline Narcissa Gardner. He had five brothers and five sisters, named James Emory, Terry, Robert Terry, Mack Barnes, Joseph Zachariah, Lena Elizabeth, Carrie Mae, Emily Josephine, Virginia Mae and Samuel M. "Sammie". He was the sixth oldest of the eleven children. He died at 7 months old on June 4th, 1883. He was buried in Van Alstyne, Texas.1 1 -
