Frances Grigsby 
Frances was born on February 2nd, 1778 in Culepper Co., Virginia.1 Frances' father was John,3rd Grigsby and her mother was Elizabeth Porter. Her paternal grandparents were John,Jr. Grigsby and Jane Redmond; her maternal grandfather was Benjamin Porter and her maternal grandmother is Mary Ann Campbell. She had three brothers and five sisters, named Joseph, Elisha, Reuben, Ann, Jane, Rachael, Martha and Elizabeth. She had twelve half-brothers and three half-sisters, named James, John,4th, Charles, William, Louis, Calvin, Charles, Mondaner, Newton, James, Wilkerson, William, Susanna, Lettitia and Sarah Mildred. She died at the age of 60 in 1838.1 General Notes
