Elisha Grigsby 
Elisha was born on May 17th, 1774 in Culpepper, County, VA.1 Elisha's father was John,3rd Grigsby and his mother was Elizabeth Porter. His paternal grandparents were John,Jr. Grigsby and Jane Redmond; his maternal grandfather was Benjamin Porter and his maternal grandmother is Mary Ann Campbell. He had two brothers and six sisters, named Joseph, Reuben, Ann, Jane, Rachael, Martha, Elizabeth and Frances. He had twelve half-brothers and three half-sisters, named James, John,4th, Charles, William, Louis, Calvin, Charles, Mondaner, Newton, James, Wilkerson, William, Susanna, Lettitia and Sarah Mildred. He died at the age of 73 on May 24th, 1847.1 General Notes
