Living's father was Don Carlos Griffin and his mother was Ara Beatrice Gill. His paternal grandparents were James Avery Griffin and Mary Francis Lee. He had a brother and two sisters, named Living, Betty Joe and Living. He has a half-brother and a half-sister, named Living and Living.-
