John Hugh was born on November 12th, 1891 in McClellanville, Charleston Co., South Carolina.1 John Hugh's father was Thomas William Graham and his mother was Frances Jones Sessions. His paternal grandparents were William Isaiah Graham and Margaret Dorcas Beaty. He had six brothers and three sisters, named William Q., Thomas William, Jr., Wade Hampton, Josiah Sessions, Robert Edward, Plowden Dow, Frances Sessions, Mary Harriet and Margaret Dorcas. He was the second youngest of the ten children. He died at the age of 54 on January 2nd, 1946 in Charleston, South Carolina.
