Thomas Elijah Dowell 
Thomas Elijah was born on September 1st, 1789 in BEDFORD CO., VA.1 Thomas Elijah's father was Micajah Dowell and his mother was Frances (Fanny) Meador. His paternal grandparents were George DOWELL and Margaret \\; his maternal grandparents are Ambrose Meador and Francis Hicks\Hix. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Nehemiah, Littleberry, Drinkerd, Claibourne, Mary "Polly", Sarah, Frances, Lettisher "Letitia" and Malinda. He was the second oldest of the ten children. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Drinkard and Letitia. He died about 1838 in Breckenridge Co., Kentucky.1 General Notes
