Frances Dowell 
Frances was born on November 13th, 1799 in BEDFORD CO., VA.1 Frances' father was Micajah Dowell and her mother was Frances (Fanny) Meador. Her paternal grandparents were George DOWELL and Margaret \\; her maternal grandparents are Ambrose Meador and Francis Hicks\Hix. She had five brothers and four sisters, named Thomas Elijah, Nehemiah, Littleberry, Drinkerd, Claibourne, Mary "Polly", Sarah, Lettisher "Letitia" and Malinda. She was the fifth youngest of the ten children. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Drinkard and Letitia. She died at the age of 64 on August 18th, 1864. She was buried in Harsley Chapel Cemetery, Breckenridge Co., Kentucky.2 1 General Notes
