Stella Kathleen was born on May 16th, 1924 in LaRue Co., Kentucky.1 Stella Kathleen's father was Richard Marshall DeSpain and her mother was Ida Frances Skaggs. Her paternal grandparents were Joseph Thomas DeSpain and Sarah Frances Warren. She had three brothers and nine sisters, named John Thomas, Raymond Alex, Everett C., Nora A., Mary Gertrude, Lona Beatrice, Amy Frances, Alma, Nora A., Delcie Marie, Grace Louise and Nettie Darlene.
