Hugh was born on April 16th, 1784 in Greenville , South Carolina.1 Hugh's father was William J. Warren and his mother was Rhoda Unknown. His paternal grandfather was Hugh Warren and his paternal grandmother is Sarah Pope. He had seven brothers and five sisters, named William, Hardin Cody, Frederick, Andrew, John, Dodson, Silas, Margaret Mary, Sarah, Elizabeth, Nancy and Rhoda.
