Nancy Alice was born on March 11th, 1900 in Green Co., Kentucky.1 Nancy Alice's father was Elzy Franklin DeSpain and her mother is Mary Susan Marcum. Her paternal grandparents were William Perry DeSpain and Mary Elizabeth Warren. She had three brothers and four sisters, named George, Fred Gilbert, Charles, Ida, Flora E., Leona Edna and Ruth B.. She was the fourth oldest of the eight children. She died at the age of 85 on February 18th, 1986 in Greensburg, Green Co., Kentucky.
