Ella Modena was born on December 6th, 1881 in Eliga, Coryell Co., Texas.1 Ella Modena's father was Willie Overton Curry and her mother was Martha Ann Manning. Her maternal grandparents were James Duncan Manning and Martha Jane Graham. She had five brothers and five sisters, named Eucie Elihue, James Malcomb, Sinclair O., O. C., Ferman Fennimore, Minnie Myrtle, May Louise, Mary Rossie, Jane Lossie and Ica Ann. She was the second oldest of the eleven children. She died at the age of 95 on May 24th, 1977 in Gatesville, Coryell Co., Texas.1 General Notes
