Frances Boteler 
Frances was born on September 28th, 1914 in Griffith Switch, Johnson Co., Tex.1 Frances' father was Thomas Marion Boteler and her mother was Lola Neff. Her paternal grandparents were John Bell Boteler and Frances (Fanny) M. Poe; her maternal grandparents were Emer Johnson (E J) Neff and Sallie Frances (Fanny) Hightower. She had two brothers named Infant Son and Walter Isbel 'Rip'. She was the youngest of the three children. She died at the age of 79 on December 8th, 1993 in Dallas, Dallas Co., Texas.1 General Notes

FRANCES (BOTELER) BASHAM
Frances (Boteler) Basham, 79, of Garland, died Wednesday evening at Doc
to r's Hospital in Dallas. She was born September 28, 1914, Griffith Swi
tc h, Texas, the daughter of Thomas Marion and Lola (Neff) Boteler. S
he w as a member of the First Baptist Church in Venus, Texas where she se
rv ed as church organist for over 40 years and where she taught the Fidel
is S unday school class for many years. She was a devoted Christian and Su
nd ay school teacher.
She taught music in her home to the children of the community. She al
so w orked as a volunteer at Doctor's Hospital in Dallas. She was a memb
er of t he Order of the Easter Star in Alvarado. She was a long-time resid
ent of t he Alvarado-Venus area. Survived by three sons, Dwaine Bash
am of Dallas, T ravis Basham of San Antonio, Malcolm Basham of Dallas; dau
ghter Lleta Wool dridge of Dallas; eight grandchildren, two great grandchi
ldren; brother Wa lter "Rip" Boteler of Cleburne.
She was preceded in death by her husband Kermit Basham in 1971. Funer
