Raymond D. was born on November 18th, 1909 in Hillsboro, Hill Co., Texas.1 Raymond D.'s father was Albert Bland Bassham and his mother was Nancy Jane (Nanny) Mitchell. His paternal grandparents were Joseph L. Bassham and Sarah O. Griffin. He had a brother and four sisters, named Audrey Brand (A B), Rubye, Thelma, Jewell and Hazel. He was the second youngest of the six children. He died at the age of 85 on January 8th, 1995 in Hillsboro, Hill Co., Texas.1 General Notes
