Penelope Minerva was born on February 12th, 1791 in Bedford Co., Virginia.1 Penelope Minerva's father was Bartlett Angel, Jr. Basham and her mother was Nancy Susan Farmer. Her paternal grandfather was Bartlett Angel Basham and her paternal grandmother is Wife Unknown. She had three brothers and four sisters, named Littleberry, Bartlett Angel III, O. Mitchel, Margaret (Peggy), Joyce (Joicy), Nancy Farmer and Lucretia. She was the oldest of the eight children. She died at the age of 89 on January 4th, 1881 in Breckenridge Co., Kentucky.1 General Notes
