WILL OF BARTLETT ANGEL BASHAM
I Bartlett Angel Basham Jr knowing that is is appointed once for a
ll m en to die. I do make this my last will and testament in manner follo
wi ng to wit: I wish in the first place all my just debts and funeral expe
ns es paid out of my estate. The remainder of my estate both real and pers
on al I give unto my beloved wife and partner in life, Nancy Basham to u
se a nd dispose of as she may choose to her and her heirs or divisees fore
ve r. But should her death happen first then and in that event this my la
st w ill and testament to be null and void.
And lastly I appoint my wife Nancy Basham my sole executrix of th
is my l ast will and testament. And as I am not involved in any w
ay it is my reque st that the Court who may take the probate of this wi
ll and grant my execu trix letter testamentary will do so without requiri
ng security of her. Th is request is made under a firm belief that the rig
hts of no one will be i njured thereby. As I am not concerned of being inv
olved an any way whatev er in testimony whereof I have hereto set my ha
nd and seal this 17th d ay of June 1836. Signed sealed and acknowledg

ld on one, two, and three years credits a nd the proceeds thereof to be gi
ven to the Kentucky Missionary Society. No tes with good securi
ty is to be taken for all property sold to the Kentuc ky Missionary Socie
ty except enough to pay all my debts and funeral expens es of my wife Nan
cy Basham, it is my desire and wish as before stated th at all such s
um or sums of money arising from the said of my personal a nd real esta
te which I hereby authorize to be sold, should be solely for t he benef
it of the said Missionary Society in witness whereof I have hereun to s
et my hand and seal the ninth day of July 1846. It is interlined bef
