Napolean B. was born about 1836 in Breckenridge Co., Kentucky.1 Napolean B.'s father was Bartlett Basham and his mother was Nicey Simmons. His paternal grandparents were Obediah Basham and Celia Dowell; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Simmons and Lucy Basham. He had seven brothers and six sisters, named Hiram Simmons, Napoleon B, Carroll C, Elihu, Samuel Wesley, Selina Candace, Elihu, Lucinda, Loretta, Nancy, Nancy, Margaret and Salina Candace. He had ten half-brothers and seven half-sisters, named George Dowell, James Herrod, James Herod, Obadiah, Elijah, Benajah Anderson, Allen, George, Elijah, Obediah, Margaret, Barbara E., Polly, Margaret, Rachel, Savanna and Mary Polly. He died on November 15th, 1857 in Warren Co., Kentucky.1 General Notes
