Allen Basham 
Allen was born about 1821 in Kentucky.1 Allen's father was Bartlett Basham and his mother was Rachel Mayberry. His paternal grandparents were Obediah Basham and Celia Dowell; his maternal grandparents are Reubin Turner and Elizabeth Likens. He had nine brothers and seven sisters, named George Dowell, James Herrod, James Herod, Obadiah, Elijah, Benajah Anderson, George, Elijah, Obediah, Margaret, Barbara E., Polly, Margaret, Rachel, Savanna and Mary Polly. He had eight half-brothers and six half-sisters, named Hiram Simmons, Napolean B., Napoleon B, Carroll C, Elihu, Samuel Wesley, Selina Candace, Elihu, Lucinda, Loretta, Nancy, Nancy, Margaret and Salina Candace.2 -
