John Walden Basham 
John Walden was born on March 12th, 1876.1 John Walden's father was James Preston Basham and his mother was Mary Eliz (Jennie) Hornsby. His paternal grandparents were William Blane Basham and Mary Elizabeth Peters; his maternal grandparents are John Hornsby and Celica Hopkins. He had two brothers and five sisters, named James Edward, Andrew Woodson, Sara Ann, Julina Lillie, Celica Virginia (Jennie), Ada Belle and Nell Eva. He was the second oldest of the eight children. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named William Kinley and Grace Bryan. He died at the age of 47 in August 1923.1 General Notes
