James Haden Basham 
James Haden was born on December 19th, 1857 in Floyd Co., Virginia.1 James Haden's father was Hillory H. Basham and his mother was Sarah Ridinger. His paternal grandparents were Nathaniel Basham and Elender (Ellen) Ross. He had two brothers and four sisters, named John Ellis, Robert Hatcher, Elizabeth E., Mary Ellen, Melinda A. and Caldora Grant. He was the second oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 83 on March 25th, 1941 in Floyd Co., Virginia.1 General Notes
