Galen D was born in 1877 in Breckenridge Co., Kentucky.1 Galen D's father was John McDonald Basham and his mother was Mary Jane Milam. His paternal grandparents were Francis F. Basham and Mary A. Unknown. He had five brothers named Laura B., William 'Francis', Leander H., Sidney Jefferson and Mary Jane. He was the third youngest of the six children. He died after 1920.1 General Notes
