David Ellis Basham 
David Ellis was born on September 5th, 1888 in Blue Spring, Jackson Co., Missouri.1 David Ellis' father was James Edward Basham and his mother was Julia Isabelle Steele. His paternal grandparents were Benjamin Basham and Elizabeth Ellis. He had four brothers and a sister, named Arthur Samuel, Benjamin Walter, Pearl, Jessie Oleta and Lavina Murl. He was the third oldest of the six children. He died at the age of 82 on October 8th, 1970 in Warrensburg, Johnson Co., Missouri.1 General Notes
