Anne Marie Elisabeth was born on July 30th, 1799 in Schleptrup, Germany.1 Anne Marie Elisabeth's father was Johann Heinrich Ballmann and her mother was Cathrine Elisabeth Huedeling. Her paternal grandparents were Johann Ernst Ballmann [bJohann Ernst Vullbrack] and Anne Adelheid Ballman. She had two brothers and a sister, named Hermann Heinrich, Johann Heinrich and Anne Marie Elisabein. She was the oldest of the four children. She had a half-brother and six half-sisters, named Johann Friedrich Wilhelm, Anne Marie Dorothee Elisabeth, Marie Adelheid, Anne Marie Engel, Anne Marie Margrethe Charlotte, Anne Marie Henriette and Anne Marie Amalie.1 -
