Tobias B. was born in 1828 in Indiana.1 Tobias B.'s father was Levi Asher and his mother is Mary Newkirk. His paternal grandfather was Batlett Asher and his paternal grandmother is Margaret Curry; his maternal grandfather is Peter Newkirk and his maternal grandmother was Mary Stafford. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Marion Jasper, Barlett, Mary Ann and Mary Catherine. He died at the age of 61 on August 7th, 1889 in Round Top , Fayette Co., Tx..1 General Notes
