Mary Catherine Asher 
Mary Catherine was born in 1839 in Illinois.1 Mary Catherine's father was Levi Asher and her mother is Mary Newkirk. Her paternal grandfather was Batlett Asher and her paternal grandmother is Margaret Curry; her maternal grandfather is Peter Newkirk and her maternal grandmother was Mary Stafford. She had three brothers and a sister, named Tobias B., Marion Jasper, Barlett and Mary Ann. She died at the age of 17 on May 14th, 1856 in Round Top , Fayette Co., Tx..1 General Notes
