James Allen 
James was born in 1853.1 James' father was James William Allen and his mother was Penelope Johnston. His paternal grandparents were Miles Norton Allen and Mary Penelope Dodson; his maternal grandparents were John L. Johnson and Eliza McGee. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Miles Johnson, Samuel Norton, John Linder, Jack L., Winifred Margaret, Susan Penelope and Mary Eliza.
