Augustus Steele

Augustus was born about 1844 in Virginia.¹ Augustus' father was WILLIAM Henderson French and his mother was SARAH STEELE. His paternal grandparents were DAVID Edwin French and MARY Dingess. He had two brothers and a sister, named WILLIAM French, Albert and Sarah. He was the second youngest of the four children.¹
