Sarah E. was born about 1843 in Greene Co., Virginia.1 Sarah E.'s father was Calus Roach and her mother was Elizabeth Shifflett. Her paternal grandfather was Samuel Roach and her paternal grandmother is Mollie Meadows. She had four brothers and two sisters, named Mickelberry, Archibald, Smith, Valentine, Christine J. and Polly Ann. She was the youngest of the seven children. She died in February 1885.1 -
