Aspasie Decuir

Aspasie was born in 1805 in Pointe Coupee, Louisiana.¹ Aspasie's father was Jean Baptiste Dorsin Decuir and her mother was Helene Bourgeat. Her paternal grandparents were Jean Francois Decuir and Genevieve Mayeux; her maternal grandparents were Joseph Bourgeat and Marguerite Riche. She had two brothers and a sister, named Jean Baptiste, Jean Dorsin and Helene. She was the second youngest of the four children. She died after 1816.¹
