Adele Couvillon

Adele was born on October 22nd, 1896 in Avoyelles Parish, Louisiana.¹ Adele's father was Pierre Shelby Couvillon and her mother was Elmaze Jeansonne. Her paternal grandparents were Sosthene Alexandre Couvillon and Irma Jeansonne; her maternal grandparents were Cleophas Jeansonne and Delphine Mayeux. She had three brothers and a sister, named Arthur Bennette, Jerome Wade, Claude Charles and Lea Lena. She was the second oldest of the five children.¹
