Eleanor was born on May 3rd, 1854 in Wyoming Co., Virginia.1 Eleanor's father is Green W. Bailey and her mother is Mahulda Stover. Her paternal grandfather was Isaac Bailey and her paternal grandmother is Judy Cooke. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Lewis A., John Alexander, Isaac N., Mary Ann, Ruhama and Margaret Orilla. She is the third youngest of the seven children. She has three half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Thomas Jasper, Garner C., Henry Luther, Martha and Elizabeth.-
