Samuel Thaxton 
Samuel was born in 1789 in , Goochland, Virginia. Samuel's father was David Franklin Thaxton and his mother was Sarah Sheppard. His paternal grandparents were James X Thaxton and Elizabeth Clarke. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Robert, William, David Franklin, Sheppard, Elizabeth, Peggy, Nancy and Sarah. He was the fourth youngest of the nine children. He died at the age of 39 in 1828 in Prince Edward Co,Virginia.-
