Mary Ann Thaxton 
Mary Ann was born in 1804. Mary Ann's father was William Thaxton and her mother was Katherine Tate. Her paternal grandparents were David Franklin Thaxton and Sarah Sheppard; her maternal grandparents are Samuel Tate and Mary Ann UNKNOWN. She had six brothers and a sister, named Nathaniel F., John F., James Clark, David Thomas, William Henry, Robert and Frances. She is the oldest of the eight children.-
