Claude Thaxton

Claude was born in April 1894 in Bedford Co.,Virginia. Claude's father was Ambrose Leak Thaxton and his mother was Sallie J. Lipscomb. His paternal grandparents were William Henry Thaxton and Sophia Rucker. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Thomas N., George W., Clayton, Minnie Verna, Lula, Sophia C. and Irene. He was the second youngest of the eight children.
