John Robert Tate 
John Robert was born in March 1827 in ,Rockbridge ,Virginia. John Robert's father was Joshua Tate and his mother was Susanna Hinecker. His paternal grandparents are Mathew Tate and Elizabeth UNKNOWN; his maternal grandparents were Christian P. Hinecker and Nancy UNKNOWN. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Simeon, Preston, William Riley, George Washington, Sarah, Maria, Elizabeth and Phoebe Ann. He was the second youngest of the nine children. He died at the age of 45 on August 21st, 1872 in , Kanawha, WV.-
