Her maternal grandfather was George Fisher and her maternal grandmother is Frances A. Lanham. She had seven brothers and two sisters, named George Wilson, William Prior, John Albert, Elkana Norris, Noah S., Andrew Jackson, Henry Minor, Sidney Ann and Marsena.
