Margaret was born about 1350 in Dundonald Castle, Dundonald, Ayrshire, Scotland.  Margaret's father was Robert Stewart and her mother was Elizabeth MURE.  Her paternal grandparents were Walter Steward and Marjorie Brus; her maternal grandparents are Adam Mure and Joan Cunningham. She had five brothers and four sisters, named Walter, Robert John, Robert, Alexander, John, Johanna, Jean Jane, Elizabeth and Isabella Eupheme. She had two half-brothers and three half-sisters, named David, Walter, Catherine (Jean), Elizabeth Catherine Janet and Egidia (Jill) Princess Of.  She died on May 6th, 1417 in Scotland.
