Catherine (Jean) was born about 1362 in Of, Dundonald, Ayrshire, Scotland.  Catherine (Jean)'s father was Robert Stewart and her mother was Euphemia Leslie Ross.  Her paternal grandparents were Walter Steward and Marjorie Brus; her maternal grandfather was Hugh Leslie Ross and her maternal grandmother is Margaret GRAHAM. She had two brothers and two sisters, named David, Walter, Elizabeth Catherine Janet and Egidia (Jill) Princess Of. She had five half-brothers and five half-sisters, named Walter, Robert John, Robert, Alexander, John, Johanna, Jean Jane, Elizabeth, Isabella Eupheme and Margaret.  She died about 1446.

‌Catherine (Jean) and David Of Crawford were married in a religious ceremony about 1380 in Dispensation.  They had three sons and two daughters, named David, Gerard, Ingelram, Marjory and Elizabeth.
