William Harvey was born on July 18th, 1825 in Fairfield, Bedford Co., Tn. William Harvey's father was Jessee SHELTON and his mother was Nancy MONTGOMERY. His paternal grandparents were Stephen W. Shelton and Rhoda Green; his maternal grandparents are John MONTGOMERY and Matilda UNKNOWN. He had six brothers and five sisters, named James Henery, Leonard Thomas, George Allen, Bartley Martin, Jessie Jackson, Matthew Martin "Matt", Mary Ann (J.E.), Rhoda Ann, Harriett Catherine, Francis Melinda and Nancy Ann Victory. He had three half-brothers named Stephen W, John Wesley and Wiley Preston. He died at the age of 65 in 1890 in Fairfield, Bedford Co, Tennessee.General Notes
